About Us
The first thing everyone notices about St Paul’s is the welcome. We’re really friendly and we love getting to know new people, who seem to come along most weeks!
In our services you’ll find engaging, relevant teaching from the Bible, aimed both at those exploring faith and those seeking to go deeper in their walk with Jesus.
Our 9am service is reflective and traditional, with Holy Communion each week. Our 10.30am service is modern and informal, with extended worship, passionate teaching, prayer ministry and a chance for the congregation to share.
We also have children’s and youth activities alongside the 10.30am service. Then there’s a chance for adults and children of all ages to get together over refreshments afterwards. Some of our children even have their lunch!
We’re a charismatic evangelical church, valuing challenging, Biblical teaching and Spirit-led response. We believe in every-member ministry, with everyone having a part to play.
That includes midweek when we have lots going on, including children’s and youth activities, our fantastic Oasis daytime ministry for adults of all ages and our much-loved Life groups, which meet daytime or evening, right across the town.
As part of the Church of England, we are members of a much larger family, but we are also part of the worldwide family of Christians (more than 2.4 billion people) who follow Jesus Christ.

We would love for you to join the family!

Three times a year we hold Welcome Events to which all those new to the church family are invited. This is an opportunity to get to know some of the church leadership teams and others who are new. You will also hear about how we can support you, and the opportunities for you to get involved in the many activities that make up the life of this lively church. You also get great food!
